Urban Girl Chronicles: Love & Loyalty is one of a short series of fiction inspired urban novels that tells a story of a young African American girl named Mariah, who was born in the streets of Oakland, California. Mariah's life has been a constant struggle since she can remember. At a young age, she began to write her thoughts in her diary to release some of her anger towards life. At the age of twenty-one she had a crack addicted mother, she had been raped, she was homeless, a stripper, and had attempted suicide. After all her struggles as a child, she lived her life on the edge as an adult. She always put others before herself in hopes of loyalty in return. But will she realize loyalty and love can't be brought, taught or will it be too late?
