The Book Club

The Book Club is the story of sisterhood. It showcases the complex and challenging, yet powerful relationships between eight seemingly ordinary, African American women. The women believe that their intent in joining the book club is to socialize, drink wine and to discuss the latest literary novels. However, after one of the women is brutally attacked by her drug dealing, younger boyfriend, Jasmine, the narrator sheds light on the hidden secrets that each women is keeping that could potentially lead to their own self-destruction.
