The AQI program provides for inspections of imported agricultural goods, products, passenger baggage, and vehicles, including commercial aircraft, ships, trucks, and rail cars, to prevent the introduction of harmful agricultural pests and diseases. CBP has responsibility for inspection activities at ports of entry.
