Lorenzo Jacobs is a renowned Hematologist who lives his life as best he can in the bustling streets of New York City. He lives a life of moderate luxury due to his hard work ethic in working for both the Center for Disease Control and a Blood Splatter Analyst/Hematologist for the New York Police Department. However, he struggles living his half-life of being a day walking vampire in a world where such creatures are folklore. A series of gruesome murders catches the attention of his best friend, NYPD detective Malik Esposito, and a clandestine group of ex-military personnel called the BSA. Lorenzo collaborates with Malik and Melissa Beno-a Special Agent of the BSA and the last living descendant of Van Helsing-to find the murderous group known as the New Zionist Order. Meanwhile, his deranged half-brother, Quentin Thompson, leader of the New Zionist Order, believes vampires should claim their position as supreme beings who rule over humans. Lorenzo realizes-through the help of his estranged father-that he is the son of Dracula, and must stop his brother from creating chaos, and mass genocide.
