May's Fight to Freedom

Thinking this was going to be another long boring story, but to my surprise it wasn't. You see, this time my great- great grandma blew my mind with one of her stories. Her story caught my attention, it stuck with me for the rest of my life. Born into a generation of slavery May was determined that a difference had to come. That difference came when her "Ma'sa" fell in love with her. She then knew that she had to use the gift that God gave her, knowledge, to survive. She either had to kill or be killed, in order to experience love of her own and to have her family to see freedom.
