Fate Befalls: A Short Story by Kevo

Based on the YouTube video: Fate Befalls, Gregory "Glo" Dives is a retired African American Businessman in his late 60s. He gained his success trading option stocks; after investing the earnings from his father's insurance fund. Glo believes that he works for no one, but his money is tied into Texas politicians who convinced him to launder their drug money from Mexico's border line. Glo agreed to the deal when he was a young businessman, now he's in his late 60s, stuck in a life of organized crime. Glo is a man of "The Code." A bond made between him, a few crooked police, dirty politicians, and cartel members. The code is simple, but the code is always unsaid; the code is understood. Anyone who lives within the code must not break the code, for the consequences result in "Fate," a term honored by the society of members. This is Kevo's debut of three novels, Fate Befalls 1 & 2, along with the novel, Koelle's Diary.
