Jeremy sprang out of bed, feeling wetness seep under him, glancing at Francine. He saw she was fast asleep but the wetness was coming from her. "Oh heck, her water is breaking..." he said, racing around, pulling on his clothes. He was fully, yet haphazardly dressed before he realized he needed to wake Francine. "Fran, baby you need to get up... the baby is breaking... I mean your water has broken, is breaking..."Opening her eyes, Francine stretched and looked down at the soaking sheet. "Oops, I guess it's time." She said, nonchalantly. She looked at Jeremy who was wearing dress slacks, a football jersey and mismatched shoes and laughed as she got out of bed. "I'm going to wash up, please call Ms. C, the doctor and Lasha. My bags are ready and please change into something else after taking those sheets off the bed." He stared at her incredulously as she padded into the bathroom as if were any other Sunday morning. He quickly uncovered the bed and raced to put them in the washing machine before retrieving her bag and making the calls and changing. "Are you ready daddy?" Francine asked strolling in from the bathroom fully dressed. His heart surged at the sight of her. She was in full bloom and her hair had grown into a big, curly Afro.
